Depression is often associated with a sense of hopelessness or having no solution to a difficult situation.  It can lead to a loss of interest in life and increased feelings of isolation.  Depression can leave you feeling caught in a cycle of negative thinking, hopelessness, and despair.  Counselling and therapy is about finding where hope still exists and building on it.  Therapy can help connect you to what still works in your life as well as exploring the places of struggle.
