Most people think compassion is a good quality, being kind, fellow feeling, understanding, empathy.  But we seem less sure about self-compassion.  Do you see self-compassion as self-centred, self-pity, self-serving, self-indulgent, selfish?

What happens when we self-criticise?  We push ourselves too hard, lose faith in ourselves, become afraid of failure.

Selfcompassion is comprised of three elements: mindfulness, common humanity, and selfkindness.
